Jenny Chang is an artist living in San Luis Obispo who specializes in painting quirky animals and art inspired by nature. Growing up in Kansas City, Jenny was on the path of biological research.  Eventually, her love of art took over and she pursued her lifelong dream of becoming an artist. Her work started with small paintings and Christmas ornaments, but over the pandemic she took her art outside and started painting windows for local businesses. Lately, she has been incorporating textiles, natural dyes and pressed flowers into her work. Jenny’s art is characterized by bright colors, natural motifs, and unique humor.  Ever the scientist, Jenny loves experimenting with artistic techniques and trying things in new ways.  In addition to her own work, Jenny spends time teaching and loves to help others excel in their art.   When not creating, Jenny enjoys gardening, reading, and hanging out with her husband and three kids.
